TERANA Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Spanish version is the one that applies; where they differ, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who provides the service

TERANA is a platform that supports sports organisation, memory and follow-up. During this beta, the service is provided by the team building TERANA, which has not yet been incorporated as an entity. Contact: soporte@terana.app; privacy contact: privacidad@terana.app.

When TERANA is incorporated as an entity, these terms will be updated with its name, tax ID and address and reviewed as a whole. We will ask you to accept the new version before you go on using the service.

These terms govern your personal use of your account. If you access TERANA through a club, the scope of the service that club contracted also applies, without your acceptance making you its representative or replacing its agreement with TERANA.

2. Your account and your profile

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date, protect your credentials and use your own account. You may not impersonate anyone else or share access. Report any suspicious access as soon as possible.

The features and information available depend on your profile and on the permissions actually enabled. These terms do not guarantee access to every feature or to an athlete's whole history.

As a coach or club staff member, you may only use data for your authorised duties and within your permissions. As an athlete, you will access the space and features enabled for you. As a parent or legal guardian, you will only access the profiles your club has linked to your family.

Being a relative does not by itself grant legal representation or access to data. A family link or a coaching role does not give unrestricted access to internal notes or to other people's data. Permission management does not limit the exercise of data protection rights through the appropriate channels.

3. Minors

If you are a minor, your account can only be activated through the procedure enabled for your age and situation, with your legal guardian's involvement where required. Do not state a false age or use an adult account to avoid that procedure.

Where a legal guardian is involved, TERANA will reasonably verify their identity, representation and the necessary authorisations. Accepting these terms, the capacity to enter into a contract and consent to data processing are separate matters; the rules applicable to each will apply.

Until there is an adequate sign-up and permissions procedure for minors, their accounts will not be activated. A coach's registration does not replace the authorisations or information owed to the athlete or their guardian.

4. Proper use and content

Use TERANA respectfully and in line with its sporting purpose and your permissions. Do not access other people's spaces, circumvent controls, extract information without authorisation or enter unlawful, harassing, discriminatory or malicious content.

Only enter relevant information you may lawfully use. Distinguish facts from opinions or observations and correct errors you know of. Do not publish or share, outside the authorised channels, data, images, notes or answers containing other people's private information.

Do not enter diagnoses, treatments, medical reports or other health data beyond what the sporting activity needs, for example that an athlete cannot train because of an injury. Do not enter other special categories of data, identity documents or unnecessary data about others either. Any future dedicated health module will require express enablement and its own information and safeguards.

You may only upload images or videos where the feature is enabled and you hold the necessary rights and authorisations. Being technically able to attach a file does not authorise any content.

5. Artificial intelligence and human judgement

Some features generate answers with AI using the authorised context. They may contain errors, omissions or inappropriate interpretations. Review the answers and check them before using them in sporting decisions.

Conversations with the AI features may be kept as part of the service. On a limited basis, authorised people working on TERANA may review some conversations to investigate incidents, assess the quality of the answers and improve how the assistant works, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

TERANA does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment and does not replace coaches or health professionals. For a health or safety question, consult a qualified person; do not use the platform as an emergency channel.

Do not treat an AI answer as a verified fact. You can report errors and ask for the source data to be corrected through the available channels. The platform must not be used to take solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people.

6. Your content and the rights in TERANA

Rights holders keep whatever rights they have in the content. By lawfully adding it, you allow the operations needed to host, organise, analyse and display it within the authorised service, for as long as that purpose requires and under the applicable retention rules.

This permission does not allow advertising, selling data, open publication or training general models with your content. Any additional purpose will require its own basis and information and, where appropriate, separate authorisation or consent.

TERANA keeps the rights in its software, design and trademarks. You receive a personal licence to use it, limited to the enabled features and for as long as your access lasts.

7. Privacy and confidentiality

The Privacy Policy explains who processes the data, the purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention and how to exercise your rights. These terms do not replace that information and are not a general consent to process data.

Where TERANA handles sports data on behalf of your club, the club decides the purposes and instructions and must provide the corresponding information. TERANA will meet its obligations and work with the club to handle requests. The provider's own processing will be identified separately.

Keep confidential any non-public information you access. Do not share screens, exports or answers containing other people's data without authorisation or a legitimate basis.

8. Cost and availability

Signing up does not by itself create any payment obligation. Any paid service aimed at you will require prior information and express acceptance. The club's financial arrangements do not create a personal debt for its users.

TERANA is currently in beta and still under development. Some features may change, be temporarily limited or not work as expected. Relevant limitations will be communicated. Freedom from errors or interruptions is not guaranteed; this does not exclude the legal duties of security, diligence and liability.

9. Suspension, leaving and changing club

We may limit or suspend access proportionately for security risks, unlawful use, relevant breaches or the end of the club's authorisation. We will tell you the reasons and how to seek review unless legal or security reasons prevent it. Where possible, you will be given the chance to remedy breaches that can be remedied.

You can ask to leave by writing to soporte@terana.app. Closing your account does not automatically delete every record the club must lawfully keep. Retention and rights are governed by the applicable policy and the controller's obligations.

Changing club does not automatically transfer private notes or grant access to other organisations' histories. A sports profile portable between clubs is not guaranteed in this version.

10. Liability and changes to these terms

Each party is liable under the law for its own acts and breaches. These terms do not exclude liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, nor the rights of consumers or data subjects.

We will announce material changes before they apply, explaining their scope and when they take effect. We will ask for new acceptance where appropriate. We will not introduce charges, extended uses of data or waivers of rights through a silent change. If you do not wish to continue, you can ask to leave, without prejudice to your rights.

11. Contact, complaints and governing law

For support and complaints: soporte@terana.app. For privacy and to exercise your rights: privacidad@terana.app; the Privacy Policy explains how. You may contact the competent data protection authority.

Spanish law and the applicable European rules apply, without depriving you of the mandatory protection you are entitled to as a consumer. Disputes will be settled by the courts competent under the law, without imposing an exclusive forum that harms your rights. This clause will be reviewed when TERANA is incorporated as an entity.
